Frequently Asked Questions

Please call us at 425-255-0055 if your specific question(s) are not covered here.

Do you offer same-day appointments?

We  offer same-day or next day appointments  for your health care needs depending on available appoitment slots. You are advised to go to emergency room or urgent care if you perceive your condition or problem may require emergency care.

What I do if I need emergency care?

You should call 911 if you perceive your condition being serious and/or  potentially life-threatening. You may go to nearby urgent care center or emergency room for emergencies that you perceive as not life-threatening. We are not an urgent care center but can see some one on short notice at times for urgent medical problems such as open wound, dog bite, high fever, pneumonia etc. Please inform the staff about your condition(s) that requires you to be seen quickly.

How do I contact my docotor after hours?

If you have a significant health concern after hours, and you feel you can not wait until next business day,  you may contact our answering  service at 425-251-3979 or you may contact emergency room or urgent care clinic. For non-urgent situations, please call us the next business day. You may also consult 24 hour nurse help line provided by some insurance plans. There is a Children's Hospital website at which offers helpful information to determine if your child needs immediate attention.

What is your financial policy?

Allcare Medical Clinic will bill  most insurance plans. (see list of major insurance plans we acccept). It is, however, the responsibility of the patient to determine whether the services rendered are covered benefits. Co-payments and full payment for services not covered by your insurance company are required at the time of service. Furthermore, if your deductible has not been met by the time of service you may be responsible for full or partial payment to fulfill your deductible. We do accept payment in the form of cash or credit cards

What is the refill policy?

Medication refills are processed during office hours. We will make every effort to refill your medications within 2 business days if your request is received before 2 pm. You may be asked to make an appointment if your condition or the nature of the medication merits ongoing monitoring. At times, your refill requests may be denied without having you come in for a visit with doctor.

If your pharmacy indicates to you that you no longer have refills for your chronic medications, please request that your pharmacy send us the request electronically or by fax. Please know that your refill request may be denied if a follow up appointment is required to check the progress or monitor your condition(s).

After-hours refill requests are discouraged. Certain medications can not be refilled by telephone or by fax. These medications must be written and this, in most cases, will necessitate an appointment.

Do you treat children?

Our doctors enjoy caring for children & adolescents (5 year & up) and feel quite privileged to provide care for their health care needs within scope of our practice.

My insurance requires referrals for specialty care. How do I obtain referrals?

Certain insurance plans require a referral for specialty services. In many instances these plans require that the patient be evaluated by their primary care physician before a referral is issued. In these circumstances, you will be asked to make an appointment. There may be a situation in which referral for ongoing care or coordination of services may be facilitated without an appointment at our discretion. Our doctors enjoy excellent relationships with area specialists  and are happy to recommend them for your condition(s) requiring  further care.

What is the "no-show" policy?

Established patients who fail to keep an appointment will be assessed a $35.00 charge. If you are unable to keep the appointment, please call us atleast one business day in advance to cancel or reschedule.

Do you offer assistance to patients who do not have insurance or means to pay for services?

We are a privately owned clinic and currently we are not set up to offer such assistance. There are several community health centers in the county that charge fees on sliding-scale depending on your income. Please call 425-277-1311 to help you find one nearby you.

Do you have extended hours?

Allcare Medical Clinic is open from 9am - 5.30 pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am - 2pm on Saturday. We take our last patient 1/2 hour before the closing time. New patients are asked to check in 1 hour before the closing time.
